How truecaller works ?

The idea of two engineers to create something new in the world of technologies. they created truecaller .which let’s you to search for contact , inform about spam call , and let u know the contact of unknown number.

But how it works ….?

True caller doesn’t have its own database. It works has receiving and giving service. ie., When people install truecaller app, it will collect every contacts from the users and then analyse each contact through AI and then shows to other people who’s number it is. Ex, if one person saved a number 987654321 as Anand then other person who searches 987654321 in truecaller will receive Anand’s name.This is how true caller works.

How truecaller earns money ?

Truecaller earns money from several sources.

Advertising– Truecaller earns huge income from showing advertisement. It shows advertisement in it’s app and while incoming call it displays add.

Data Sharing- Truecaller also shares people’s data to several companies and earn money

And Truecaller also earn from company who’s number is listed as spam. Truecaller demand money to delete companies number from the spam list. this is how Truecaller legally earns money.

How Netflix earn money ?

Netflix invested 100cr in India to make sacred games series. How it recover it’s investment ? This films are not shown in theater . Netflix doesn’t shows any adds in its platform. Still it is earns huge profits.

Once upon a time , there was a FM radios which entertained us. after that TV entered .now FMs are used play in cars . In future TV Chanel will also loose it’s existence. Because now it’s time of OTT Network. Which means over the top media service. Now people won’t wait for weekend to watch movies which published by TV channels. Now through Netflix people watch movies which they desire, at anywhere anytime. So Netflix is popular nowadays.

Netflix provide it’s services since 1997. Before they use to sell movie CDs . After that they learnt many things and expanded it’s business as a online platform of distributing contents worldwide.

There are several plans for subscription of Netflix content . starting from 199 rs which is only for mobile phone. To 800rs as per it’s clarity.

In countries like USA, UK, Arab etc. Wifi is cheaper and most of people opted wifi in their home. They are ready to buy subscription of Netflix to watch the content. So Netflix growed and become popular in these country. But countries like India where usage of wifi is less and people use to consume less data. Hence Netflix didn’t entered India till 2017 . After jio arrival, the price of data decreased and people opted unlimited plans so that Netflix had a opportunity to enter India. In 2017 Netflix entered India and provided services. According to survey now Netflix as a 41 lakhs paid membership in India. If we take 500rs as a avg price of subscription. Monthly Netflix earns more than 200 crores.

The business module of Netflix is just buying the content or making it’s own content and publishing to its customer worldwide. ex., if it buys some movie for 1000 crs and publish to its customer worldwide . These customer pays avg 500rs per month so that 158 million customer pays 7900 crores every month. This is how Netflix earn money

Netflix earns enough revenue. To compete with its competitors like Amazon prime videos, Sony liv , voot ,Zee etc. Netflix make it’s own content which make it different from other online platform.

This is all about Netflix company. And how it earns money.

Who leads in Indian smartphone market ?

You are sure that Chinese company xiaomi is leading in Indian smartphone industry. Xiaomi is basically software company . It used to develop UI ie . User interface of smartphone OS. It introduced it’s first smartphone in China in 2011. It was the first brand to offer best specifications at lowest price . So it became popular and in 2014 it conquered large market share in China.

Xiaomi enters Indian market in 2014 . It targets online sector that’s why, they made tie up with flipkart and sold it’s mi 3 smartphone which was sold out within 30 minutes. Indians thought that Chinese product are not durable and cheap quality. Xiaomi dispelled this thoughts by providing fine quality of products. This impressed every Indian customers.

Xiaomi sold more than 10 million of its product and acquired major market share by beating Samsung. Along with smartphone xiaomi sold it’s TV , smart bands, accessories etc.

Xiaomi’s competitor oppo , vivo entered offline market . It spent very huge amount in marketing it’s product and attracted customers .oppo,vivo use to give more commission to retailer. So if any person enters mobile shop they indirectly force them to buy vivo,oppo product .this way oppo, vivo used it’s strategy for marketing it’s product and acquired large offline market share

Vivo,Oppo is a owned by BBK electronics which is Chinese company. Where it used to sell it’s product through different brand name ie vivo and oppo. So that customer will choose oppo or vivo product . If customer choose any of this product profit will gained by BBK electronics itself. This way BBK electronics increased it’s sales.

Afterwards, to enter online sector BBK electronics introduced it’s another brand realme and oneplus. Realme targeted budget sector and oneplus targeted premium sector. Both are gained popularity and acquired huge market share. By this format BBK electronics used to sale it’s product through different brand name competed with other brand.

Till Q1 2019 xiaomi company leads smartphone market share in India .In Q2 2019 xiaomi brand is leading but BBK electronics company is actually leading the smartphone market share.

Many people doesn’t know about BBK electronics which is actually a owner of realme,oppo,vivo,oneplus. BBK also don’t want to know people that all 4 brands are same companies sub brands. The intention of BBK electronics is to compete its brand with its own brand . So that customer have a choice of 4 brands and if customer choose any of these brands the income will be received by BBK company itself.

What happened to Nokia?

You guys all know about Nokia. The famous and most likely mobile phone brand in decade back.

Nokia started a new era in mobile phone industry. A Finland based Nokia company established in year 1865 as a communication, information technology and consumer electronics company. It was the biggest mobile company of that time. It acquired mobira named telephonic company and started to produce portable phone.

In 1982, Nokia introduced it’s first portable phone ” Nokia Mobira Senator” which was around 10 kg . In 1984 they invented another car phone called “Nokia mobira talkman” which was around 5 kg. Afterwards they introduced Nokia mobira city man which was around 800gms became a most popular phone of that time.

Nokia introduced it’s first feature phone Nokia 2100 series in 1994. More than 2 crore phones were sold by company. It entered into US Europe country. Nokia began to lead in Telecom industry.

Averything is perfect till iPhone and Google enters into the market. Taste and preference of the consumer usually varies, people started to try iPhone and other Android devices.

App developer can easily make a app on Android and iOS so apps in Android and iOS increased. And these two operating systems became popular. But Nokia was stick at symbian os.

This time Chinese company entered into the market. This companies used Android os. Android became popular and Google built a large eco system all over the world. But Nokia was still in symbian os. In budget sector nokia used to sell it’s feature phone of around rs 4000. But at same time Chinese company sells it’s budget smartphone for around rs 5000. So people attracted towards Android. Hence market share of Nokia decreased,they struggled to come back . They are in need of change . They made a mistake that instead of changing operating system they changed CEO. New CEO knew that Nokia wants to change its os. So he decided to change the os , Again Nokia made mistake that instead of opting Android os they opted windows. Windows os is good for pc but it fail to compete with Android, iOS.

Already Google Android and iOS acquired majority of market shares and these OS built their own eco system. And there was more than millions of apps available for Android and iOS. But windows doesn’t had more than 20 thousand apps. This made decrease in sale of Nokia phones.

While Nokia’s game coming to an end , Microsoft acquired Nokia for 7 billion dollar. Microsoft concentrated on developing hardware rather than software. Thus Microsoft also fails to maximize it’s sales. And then Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella decided to sale this company to hmd global.

Now hmd global is a owner of Nokia smartphone. hmd global opted Android operating system and now Nokia is surviving in the Telecom business.

My opinion is that , Nokia had a opportunity to change its os and opt Android. So that people will get better hardware and software. And there will be chances of sales maximization due to its Brand name because Nokia had a good brand name.
